• Hello & Welcome!

My name is Corina Nielsen and I am so happy you stopped by. I provide custom photography services in San Diego, Ca., mainly specializing in newborn portraiture and I also run a separate graphic design business helping photographers define their business identity. You can see samples of all my work right here on my blog... both of my photography and design portfolio's are located right in the above menu! Please take a look and if you are interested in either booking a session or getting on my design wait list, you can use the contact form to get in touch! I look forward to talking with you soon!

ProPhoto 4 has arrived and…

it’s upgraded, better than ever, AND I am giving away a FREE copy to one of my VERY lucky readers!

People who follow my blog and Facebook page have heard me talk about ProPhoto many many times now.  When I first started my business/es, I had heard of it but was really hesitant in spending $199 to get it.  That’s a big chunk of change on something I knew very little about!  However, after getting frustrated with trying to update pretty minor things on my regular WordPress blog like color, font, menu items, my header, and tweak the overall design I knew something had to be done if I ever wanted to gain a real web presence and get my name out there in the world.  I dreaded going into my blog admin and spending countless hours attempting to tweak things… so I rarely blogged.  I was completely doing myself a disservice and I knew it.  So, after doing some research, looking at all kinds of reviews, seeing all of the “greats” use ProPhoto, I knew it was time to start taking blogging seriously so I dove head first into ProPhoto 3.

Let me tell you… it was hands down the BEST investment I have made for my business/es.

It didn’t take long too getting familiar with the admin side… still a WordPress blog, but ProPhoto has everything is totally spelled out for you.  Immediately I was excited about blogging because it was just so darn easy to get everything set up in a post that I wanted to, have the nice big images being displayed, have my menu nice and organized so that people could easily find what they needed to, and if I wanted to add a gallery the option was there to make it totally dummy proof (right up my alley)!  I honestly didn’t think blogging could get any easier.  That is until they went and updated things to be even more fabulous.

When I was sent the P4 upgrade to beta test, I was literally smiling ear to ear.  My husband kept asking me “What the heck is going on over there and why do you keep saying Holy Crap, are you kidding me?”  P3 kicked ass, but P4 just runs circles around it.  Just when I thought that blogging, updating, and customizing my blog (and clients blogs) could not get an easier, I was totally blown away.  I must go over some of my favorite features with the upgrade….

Organizing your menu’s has NEVER been so easy…

Before ProPhoto, I found that one of the most difficult things to tackle with my blog was getting my menu items done properly.  I always had a hard time trying to add things that linked here or needed to go there.  P4 has really made it super simple for the user.  You literally just have to move these little black boxes into the right place, then add the link you want, hit save and you are DONE!  No more trying to figure out link menus, categories, lists, blog roll, or anything else I didn’t fully understand.  Only takes a couple of clicks and you are done!

Using custom fonts quickly & easily rocks my socks…

Obviously, I have been using custom fonts on my blog as well as most of my clients’ blogs.  However, in order to do that in P3 or other WordPress blogs for that matter, you needed a special plug in and custom coding for it.  While it wasn’t difficult… it did get a bit annoying having to go into the back end of your entire site to add folders and what not.  P4′s new custom font feature will really allow people to customize their blog to match their branding seamlessly.  Love the font you use in your logo?  Well, why not use it on your blog as well?  In many cases when you purchase a font, you can also buy the web version for you to use… an absolute MUST in my opinion!  You will want to use it on your business/marketing pieces, makes sense to use it on your blog as well!  With a few simple clicks, upload the font, and use it ANYWHERE you like!  A-MAZING:) Hands down one of my favorite new features!

“A Call to Action” is so super sweet…

Like icing on the cake!  P4 has really given you the ability to allow your blog readers connect with you quickly and easily!  Have readers subscribe to your blog, become a fan of yours on Facebook, follow you on Twitter, email you, and much more.  You can use text OR match your current branding with graphics & text… just upload the image you want to use and let the connections begin!

Here are all of the features that ProPhoto has to offer….

Itching to get your very own ProPhoto blog with all these amazing updates?

It’s giveaway time!!!!  ProPhoto has generously offered to give one of my blog readers a copy of their very own.  This is an amazing opportunity for someone and their business!  I am super thankful that they have agreed to do this with me and honored to have the opportunity!  Ready for the details?

What a great opportunity! I would love to be able to customize my blog and add pages, menus easily. Right now I am stuck on how to do this so the pages, menu remain empty or not professional looking. I have been eying ProPhoto for a long time and am very excited to see these changes. Thank you for this chance!! I love your work too!

Jessica - September 27, 2011 - 11:07 am

Hello! First off, thank you for the opportunity to win such an amazing giveaway. I’ve been eyeing the prophoto blogs for a while. I need a prophoto blog because I am new to the biz and am yanking my hair out doing my blogsite on my own. creating child themes, etc! It’s so stressful to people who are not in the techie know. I was working on mine last night creating the child theme and now the header and background are gone so I have to put it up again tonight. This would make my life and my biz run so much smoother and I would be forever greatful if I won. Thank you!!

Sabrina Stone - September 27, 2011 - 11:08 am

I’ve liked both pages, actually I already had! I’m in desperate need of prophoto blog, You can tell my looking at my blog, I have no idea how to do coding. Winning this would allow me not only to get my blog up and running but to be a competitor in the filed of photographers around me area. A blog is one of the best forms for PR online and right now I’m WAY behind. Looking forward to seeing what it can do. I was gonna buy but I’ll hold off until the dust settles as you said and HOPEFULLY I’ll win it and be able to get business cards and the blog, hehe!
I also let them know you sent me.

Shanna-Kaye Fancher - September 27, 2011 - 11:09 am

ProPhoto would make my photography business run so much smoother!
I recently changed my photog blog to WordPress, but don’t have the time (as a photog and SAHM) to figure out every little detail on my own. Having a instruction manual and templates would help so much!
I shoot newborns to weddings, and trying to showcase that properly is hard…I need ProPhoto’s help! Thank-you!

Leslie Petersen - September 27, 2011 - 11:20 am

Wow, sounds amazing! I have been toying with the idea of switching to WordPress from Blogger. Just to have more flexibility in customzing. I think it would help my business tremendously! Thank you!

Jessica Martz - September 27, 2011 - 11:21 am

Girlfriend!!!! I’m super duper excited about your giveaway! (Thank you soooo much btw)
I have been struggling and I mean FRUSTRATED BEYOND BELIEF trying to get a decent looking web page. I am so computer illiterate, at least as far as any kind of web design goes, and this being my first year in business I just don’t have the money to spend to get myself a professional looking site. I KNOW how important having a good-looking site is to a business and would be absolutely ECSTATIC to have a prophoto blogsite. What I have going on right now looks completely amateur. I know that if I could just get a fabulous looking page and get some traffic through it the site will pay for itself in no time! I’m just maxed out financially right now (not only did I start a photography business this year but I also had baby girl #2) and I don’t want to wait until I can afford it I want it NOW. :-) Sorry so long. I ramble when I’m excited. Thanks again for the opportunity! <3

Catie Stephens - September 27, 2011 - 11:22 am

Wow, where to start! I’ve had a bludomain flash site for a few years now, got a free wordpress blog a couple of years ago, and feel VERY outdated. I feel very strongly that, in order to be competitive in today’s market, you need to be visible to mobile phone users. Flash is not able to be viewed on the smart phones, and so I must change and grow. A lot of my photographer friends swear by prophoto, and I recently saw first hand how easy it is to customize your blog.
I’ve switched to full time birth photography, and would like to be more visible on the internet, so a prophoto blog would be an extremely helpful tool.
Thanks for offering this amazing giveaway!

Michelle Burke - September 27, 2011 - 11:24 am

I have been wanting to make the jump to a prophoto blog for awhile now. As a full time RN, photographer and mom of two toddlers, trying to keep up with a blog and a website is just too much. I love that people are saying your prophoto blogsite is all you need! That would so simplify things for me and free up some much needed family time. I love that it is super easy to customize – it just sounds like the perfect site for any photographer. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win one!

Krista - September 27, 2011 - 11:26 am

Corina. This is a giveaway worth waiting for! Thanks for the chance. I am a DIYer to the core. To date, I have spent exactly $0.00 on my branding and have relied completely on my college courses in graphic design and my “Google-fu” to provide answers when I have questions. The result has been a basic but reliable blog site with decent SEO and functional design that meets my immediate needs. But I have much, much higher goals in mind. :)
I know you get what you pay for, and that by spending nothing on my branding I’m crippling my online presence. I just… ahh. There’s just SO much that can be bought and ranking those purchases is so difficult that I just haven’t made the choice to sign up with ProPhoto. But I want to. OH I want to. I’ve invested in workshops, had my first ever engagement session featured on a wedding blog, and treat my business like the dear friend it is. Having a solid blog site would be the most amazing means for growth that I need right now, and MAN what a great opportunity this is for that! Been a long time fan of both you and ProPhoto. Keep the good times rollin’!

Michelle Burke - September 27, 2011 - 11:26 am

Liked both sites on facebook and left alittle love on the prophoto page. Thank you both so much for the giveaway – you guys rock!

Michelle Bowman - September 27, 2011 - 11:37 am

I have been wanting to buy pro photo for a while and just haven’t had the money. I think it would help with my blogging so much ! Now I’m on my way to like the facebook pages :-)

Carly Fuller - September 27, 2011 - 11:38 am

Wow! This is so exciting. Just from your previews ProPhoto4 looks AMAZING!! You designed my blog and I adore it, I feel that winning prophoto4 would help me step even further into customizing my photo blog site much better. I would love to win this and continue my hours upon hours of blogging with a more simple straightforward platform! It will most likely save me lots of time so I can spend all that extra time on your website shop looking for new props and saving up for all the exciting props you and your husband make! Thanks for the opportunity to win such an amazing tool! <3, carly

Heather Photography - September 27, 2011 - 11:40 am

I’m a Prophoto user now and would LOVE the upgrade! I absolutely love their product!!

Shay Winget - September 27, 2011 - 11:40 am

I need this because I have no blog. I figure it’s better to have no blog than a blog that does not represent me or a blog that does not look good. I don’t know enough of how to create a blog on my own and am shy about spending money on something that may help or may confuse me. I think I could figure this out though and would love the opportunity to have a rockin’ blog. Thank you for giving me the chance to win this!

Faith - September 27, 2011 - 12:11 pm

Wow! Great giveaway. I NEED to win this because I am just starting to actively use social networking and blogging to market my business and with after trying blogger and typepad I am already frustrated with the ease of use and the look of my blog. Prophoto looks fantastic and has everything I’m dreaming about in a blog!

Steve at ProPhoto - September 27, 2011 - 12:27 pm

Dang, girl, thanks for the props!
And, wow, you lit up our Facebook wall! :P

Stephanie McHugh - September 27, 2011 - 12:30 pm

This is absolutely perfect! I am starting a photography business and this would help me out so much!

Stephanie McHugh - September 27, 2011 - 12:43 pm

Sorry, I pressed “post comment” a bit too early! I wanted to add that I’m completely and totally clueless when it comes to editing anything on my blog, so this opportunity would save me so much time and I could instead focus more on the content instead. I love how simple ProPhoto 4 makes all of this. It would make my blog sparkle! Thanks for doing an awesome giveaway!

Rachel Doan - September 27, 2011 - 12:58 pm

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this give-away!
I have also been eyeing ProPhoto for a little while, but I just can’t afford it yet.
I am a work-at-home-mom to a three year old, a two year old and a 6 month old. I’m a photographer. I’m a wife. I’m a busy lady. ProPhoto is (as we know) the most efficient and easy-to-use template for professional photographers. It would streamline my business and I wouldn’t have to spend so much time working on my online presence. Plus, ProPhoto is gorgeous. =)

Brittany P - September 27, 2011 - 1:26 pm

Soooo excited for ProPhoto 4!!! THANK YOU for this opportunity! I am right in the middle of a blog make-over and the PP4 upgrade would help me tremendously!!! I love, love, love ProPhoto! They are the BEST of the BEST!

Ruel Calitis - September 27, 2011 - 2:07 pm

I was a using wordpress for a year and never saw a Photographer Blog that is better than ProPhoto. The template is simply amazing. Thank you ProPhoto & Corina Nielsen that you offered to give one of your blog readers a copy of the best Blog 4 Photographers. :)

Mackenzie Kern - September 27, 2011 - 2:12 pm

I would love to win because I wan’t to build my business and this is an amazing tool that can help. I am in the middle of completely redoing my website and blog! I have never heard of Pro photo blogs, but it looks like an amazing investment. Thank you so much for showing me such an awesome product.

Colleen Torlone - September 27, 2011 - 2:59 pm

Have liked both on Facebook…would love to get busy on having my own domain and website/blog…I use blogspot now, just because it was free…would love more control!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

Aemee Ellis - September 27, 2011 - 4:34 pm

Hi Corina,
I am just starting off in my photography journey and I do not have a blog or a website. I have been reading about prophoto blogs for a while now. I actually found them from your page. I have heard nothing but good things about them so I never bothered to look anywhere else. I have been emailed them about starting a blog and they have been nothing but HELPFUL. Their customer service is amazing and I haven’t even bought anything yet. I would love to start off my business with an outstanding product like ProPhoto Blogs. Since I do not have one already, I am excited to start with the best of the best :) Thank you so much for your generous giveway. So nice of you. Thank you.

Christi Collins - September 27, 2011 - 4:50 pm

Love that you are doing this!!! I have had my eye on prophoto for about a year now and like you didn’t want to spend the money on something I didn’t know much about. It is kind of funny because I told Laura Felming about you and prophoto and she ended up diving right in while I am still working on it. I have already had prophoto planned for next year with you as my designer. This win would be awesome for me to win!!! Thanks…

Kylie Bone - September 27, 2011 - 5:41 pm

I don’t just want a ProPhoto blog I really need one. I’m fining facebook very limiting with all the changes at the moment, a ProPhoto Blog will help resolve some of the issues by allowing me to create and share with links and hopefully increasing the call to action 8)

Kylie Bone - September 27, 2011 - 5:43 pm

I’m already a fan of like Corina Nielsen Photography on facebook, and now I’m a ProPhoto Blogs facebook fan, thanks for the introduction

Kylie Bone - September 27, 2011 - 5:47 pm

Simone Trahan - September 27, 2011 - 5:58 pm

Thank you so much for doing this give away!! I would love a Prophoto Blog because as a working mother of 3 and trying to start up a photography business, it is a stretch to buy one on my own. These blogs are wonderfully set up for success!! I hope that I am chosen to help promote my business and give my clients a great place to view their sessions. Thank you!!

Sharon Neves - September 27, 2011 - 5:59 pm

Oh my goodness. I think it would be fabulous to win ProPhoto 4! I have been thinking about upgrading to a better blog (I use blogger) but with baby #4 on the way.. investing $$ into a blog isn’t in the cards! (Hmm… baby #4 and ProPhoto #4!! maybe it is meant to be!!) I would love to have a more stream lined blog that was easy to use and fun for my readers/followers to see updates of my work! If I were to win this, than I would definitely need you to design a blog template for me!! Thank you very much for having this opportunity on your website! xox Sharon

christy spurlock - September 27, 2011 - 5:59 pm

I NEED this!! I hate having to update a website and a blog. It’s like pulling teeth. I want it all in one spot and easy to manage. This looks like exactly what I desperately need! :)

Maria Moore - September 27, 2011 - 6:00 pm

thank you for the giveaway…I don’t have a website or a very great blog…this would make such a difference!

Elaine Carter - September 27, 2011 - 6:02 pm

Oh what a wonderful giveaway. I have wanted to get one of these blogs for a long time. I go to the site and just wish i could hit the purchase button. My blog is still on blogger and i just wish i could upgrade and look more professional. Thank you both for the amazing opportunity.

Rhonda Elder - September 27, 2011 - 6:16 pm

I need this because I just (this week) finished designing my first blog (won’t say what I used, cuz that’s not nice) and it wasn’t the most user friendly. I really wanted to try ProPhoto, but just didn’t think I could spend the money. Your review has me itching to try it….so I hope I’m the lucky one.

Petra Hemphill - September 27, 2011 - 6:22 pm

Best giveaway ever!!! This would be so great. There are so many things to get in order, and this would be such a great help. The blog I have now is a simple, personal blog, and I don’t know how to write html code to make it better, more professional.
Fingers crossed here. :)

amanda tonagel - September 27, 2011 - 6:22 pm

I would LOVE to have Prophoto blog. I have been working so hard for the last year and a half to build my photography biz all from my own part time earnnings. I am building my biz solely on any money I make from it. I have finally upgraded my equipment, taken my pictures to a new level and I want to show them off in a professional way through the ProPhoto blog. I would be so happy to have my work displayed beautifully.

Morgan Furtick - September 27, 2011 - 6:41 pm

This is really a wonderful contest to be entered in. I have fell in love with your work that you have done ever since I have seen it. I think that by winning the free ProPhoto it would be able to help me with my photography business. I would like to be able to use all of the special things that it has to offer like the menu organizing part. I really hope that I win this!!! Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Josie - September 27, 2011 - 6:52 pm

I really need ProPhoto for my business!!!

Jennifer Wolff - September 27, 2011 - 7:01 pm

I have been following you since before you went into branding and design. I have been saving my pennies to get a ProPhoto4 blog and to have you design my branding. LOVE YOUR WORK! The hubs recently became unemployed so whatever comes from the photography business goes to the family (for now). Winning a ProPhoto blog would seriously make my day!!!!!!!!!!! I am so over blogger and want a more professional look to showcase my photography! Thanks for this AMAZING giveaway!

Dianne McIntosh - September 27, 2011 - 7:05 pm

I’ve been wanting to buy ProPhoto for a long time but being a family of 5 on a single income I haven’t been able to spend the extra money. I would love a program like ProPhoto to help me smoothly keep up with my ever changing web content and style. I’ve been using a html based site and it drives me crazy constantly having to edited it in Dreamweaver then resubmitting it to my server…. blah. I love WordPress but I haven’t found a template that I love. Having ProPhoto would allow we to express my creative side and build the website I have always envisioned in my mind. Thanks for the opportunity.

kristen - September 27, 2011 - 7:09 pm

WOW. This is incredible! Thanks so much for doing this giveaway! I am a small business owner (paper goods design) and recently purchased a domain & signed up with a host/installed wordpress….I was super excited because I thought that I could figure out customization and get everything going on my own, plus I had seen examples of wordpress sites I really liked. Well, I quickly realized with the templates that wordpress offers that I actually won’t be able to do what I had hoped. I also realized that the wordpress sites I liked were as great as they are because these folks have ProPhoto!!! So, yeah! That is where I am at and would love the opportunity to grow my business with a reputable and professional site. I’ve been looking at ProPhoto’s site since I purchased my domain, but haven’t had the money to purchase (and probably won’t for some time…). Thanks again for doing this giveaway :)

Hopefully you don’t have to be a photography business owner to win this! Photos of my products are one of the most important things about having a web presence in the first place :)

Christine - September 27, 2011 - 7:27 pm

Ohhh! I would love this! I could so use this because then I wouldn’t have to beg my husband to make every little change. While he is a programmer and web designer (teaches it for a living!) It’s like pulling teeth to get his skills when he’s off the clock. (And how can I blame him? They run him ragged!) Thank you for the opportunity!

Anna Pociask - September 27, 2011 - 7:55 pm

Blogging is such a huge part of the photography world, and prophoto most definitely makes images more appealing with the size it offers. It truly be amazing to win this!! Thank-you for the opportunity!

Angela Kohl - September 27, 2011 - 8:01 pm

I’ve been wanting to make the switch from blogger to wordpress and this giveaway would be the perfect opportunity. Thanks for the contest!!

Jackie - September 27, 2011 - 8:49 pm

Thank you for the chance to win this amazing blog template! I have found so much great info on your blog! I have wanted to purchase pro photo for a while, but I am starting out and can not quite afford to purchase this template yet. As you know building a business is a lot of work! Especially with my 3 year and 3 month old daughters. This blog would help me with efficiency, and allow me to get a bit more precious sleep! I would love to have a beautiful, easy to navigate and customize blog. Thank you again for this opportunity and the wonderful content in your blog, I am a big fan of all of your work!

Rafael Bautista - September 27, 2011 - 8:50 pm

I have been considering a Prophoto blog for a while now and have decided to take the plunge now that version 4 is out. From what I have read, Prophoto offers everything I have been looking for to finally launch my photography blog. Thanks for the opportunity and I look forward to the results.

allyson randle - September 27, 2011 - 9:08 pm

Are you kidding? If you actually saw my blog I wouldn’t even have to answer this question.
It’s a sad, sad thing. I’m totally like you, I stopped blogging because it is too much; resizing, going into photobucket, trying to figure out way one image is bigger than the next. sigh.
I’m over it.
But I sure would be a blogging fiend if I got that update. ;)
Although after your post, I’m going to buy it anyway.

Tyra - September 27, 2011 - 9:23 pm

Why do I NEED pro photo 4??? Because I have a stupid blogger blog that I try to make look pretty and it just sucks! I am supporting my husband and 4 kids while he finishes up school….so that $199 is a BIG chunk out of my pocket right now:) I LOVE your designs and photography and I would cry happy tears if I won~

Arnaud A - September 27, 2011 - 10:02 pm

I’ve been playing with a friends backend copy and I am truly amazed. After watching many of the tutorials and peoples comments I can’t get enough of it. He only has ProPhoto 3 but that doesn’t stop me from loving it even more so now that they have updated this immensely. I love the fact that they are grasping new technology and losing Flash. I’ve been discussing with my photography instructors about how galleries and art directors want an HTML based site and get tired of seeing flash sites because of load times and broken features. With this upgrade it will bring a new toolset to my belt and a way to make everything just work out of the box and give me the capabilities to brand my site to me and what I have to offer.

Please pick me as I am a student on a budget who needs to spend my dollars wisely.

Thank you for giving us this opportunity to be selected for a copy of ProPhoto Blogs 4.

Mel Lawrence - September 27, 2011 - 10:48 pm

I’ve been playing around with custom blog designs for a while, and when things should work, they just don’t, I spent so much time on them and they were even how I wanted them, I’m fairly computer and design savvy but I’m no web coder, Prophoto opens the doors for me to achieve exactly what I want with out having to touch code I probably shouldn’t touch. I want a professional looking blogsite for people to enjoy and come back to, not something that smells of cheap and unfinished. I’ve stepped out to do lots of things better and to my highest standards and skills, and a Prophoto blog is next on my list, I would love to win one, as when you start a business the first little while you’re not making a profit. It will all work out eventually, and I’d be excited for who ever wins the blog :)

Jami - September 27, 2011 - 11:21 pm

I currently work for a dear friend and amazing photographer. Im helping with social media primarily among other things and it would be such a blessing in a crazy trying time right now. Recently all of her equipment was stolen out of town and though her equip being replaced her work was lost. Though I can help with twitter, facebook and blog posts I so dont belong anywhere near website/blog design, like Im sure her elementary aged son could probably code better!

Jami - September 27, 2011 - 11:23 pm

I like both of yall on fb!

Awesome! I totally need this to kick start my booty into getting my WordPress blog up and going.I have been procrastinating for so long now because there just hasn’t been a template I like or wanted to(Or had the money) spend such big bucks on.

Naomi M - September 28, 2011 - 6:10 am

This is an amazing gift generosity and thank you (both) for putting together this opportunity for photographers from all around the world.

I think winning this prize will not only help develop, inspire and bring in new clients, it will help my business succeed and grow into the potential I know it deserves to have. I look around and see all these beautiful, well crafted and captivating websites, and dream that I too could possibly have my very own peace of perfection but with having no background in web design or development, I easily become intimidated and feel like it’s an opportunity that will always be last; Prophoto can help this dream become a reality and with it’s support areas who knows, maybe I too can have a gorgeous website like Corina’s (you never know, hehe).

cayce wegman - September 28, 2011 - 7:09 am

I could use this so badly because I HATE my blog…I hate the limitations I have where I can’t link forms, menu tabs are limited and it just doesn’t work with my branding. I’ve always wanted to go ProPhoto but I’ve spent so much money on props and equipment and the business side that I just can’t spend anymore this year :( Winning this blog would be such a wonderful gift!

I am just getting started – haven’t even done my first blog entry yet! So, this is super exciting!

Jennie S - September 28, 2011 - 7:28 am

I was just looking at this on their website yesterday! I am just starting my photography business so this would make an incredible enterance for me into the blogging world. Thank you for showing just how easy it is to use. That definitely makes my choice easier. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Cate Waters - September 28, 2011 - 7:52 am

There has been a little light in my eyes of excitement since I saw ProPhoto for the first time a few weeks ago. I have been using a wordpress blog with customized code for quite awhile and have found that it starts to look outdated and home grown. ProPhoto is an offering that fits every need there is, and has been a goal I am saving towards since I found it. Having access to this setup would allow me to focus more on the photos and marketing and less on the customization and branding and really help my work stand out from everyone else’s in such a saturated market. It is a goal, a dream, and an excitement factor for the day that I can open the link and hit download! :)

Lasha - September 28, 2011 - 9:00 am

There are so many reasons why I would be an extremely thankful winner of a ProPhoto blog. I think the main reason is that I’m not able to afford it on my own, and having a professional and clean looking blog that works and looks great/is reliable would help elevate by business to the next step. Thanks for the opportunity!

Meredith Blackman - September 28, 2011 - 9:05 am

I love love love my Prophoto blog, but after seeing your sneak peeks at new features I need need need to update it. It is such an amazing product to begin with that I thought I wouldn’t really need the update, but it’s hard enough to find time to keep up with the site so every little bit that makes it easier saves me time and money. I love ProPhoto and would love to win. Thanks so much for sharing your P4 experience.

Jacquelyn McHenry - September 28, 2011 - 9:07 am

I have been wanting to try ProPhoto blogs for a while now. Although I do currently have a blog, it is just a free template. Currently I am only blogging about my sessions, but REALLY want to become a more serious blogger about other topics for both clients and photogs. A new blog would be the perfect way to start that phase of my business!!!! Thank you for the opportunity to win a new blog!

Jayne M - September 28, 2011 - 9:08 am

Yay! Would love to be chosen for this. I have recently partnered with a friend and am starting a new studio from scratch–we need this badly! What a great way to start up a business with a ProPhoto Blog. Thanks Corina!

Pam D - September 28, 2011 - 9:10 am

Ah, Corina. You know I’ve already put a downpayment on your services. And I haven’t yet returned the questionnaire. I think, really, that Divine Intervention was the reason. I wasn’t really planning to go with ProPhoto, but after looking at all of this new info, I think you might have just changed my mind. My poor li’l website is in desperate need of re-invention, and I know you will do an amazing job. But to have it beautifully designed by you AND easy for me to update? Pure heaven. I would love to win, but I feel like I’m already a winner because I have you in my corner!

dee perrin - September 28, 2011 - 9:23 am

I’m pretty good with WordPress and can make it do what I want most of the time, but I’ve been looking at the ProPhoto blog for a while now and it just seems like it would simplify so much! I’ve hesitated to make the investment, but I would LOVE to win it!

Jennifer - September 28, 2011 - 9:24 am

Thanks for such a great giveaway! I am just starting out so this would be perfect for me to get a blog together!! So excited!! Thanks!!!

Wrenda S - September 28, 2011 - 9:25 am

I have been wanting one for 2 years and would be ever thankful to finally have one! :)

Sheryl Maier - September 28, 2011 - 9:36 am

Sweeeet Giveaway Corina!! I started my business at the beginning of 2011, and have been learning to balance my 3 kids and husband, and my love for photography. Since I started the business, we’ve bought a house, and my family has hit about a gazillion milestones. Because of all the activity in our lives, I haven’t been able to sit down and devote myself completely to my business. A couple weeks ago I decided it was time to get back to it (pregnant with #4 and all!), so with that being said, I really need to work on my business appearance. Until I get more solidified in this biz, I don’t have the extra funds for ProPhoto (which I have been looking at for MONTHS I might add. Winning this Giveaway would be so amazing, and would help me to achieve a more professional look… my fingers are crossed!!

Melissa Inskeep - September 28, 2011 - 10:19 am

Thanks for the opportunity to win Prophoto. I’ve been wanting to start a blog but I don’t even know where to start so I’ve been hesitant to spend the money. Hopefully I’ll be the winner, lol but I have my fingers crossed :)

Jennifer Vititoe - September 28, 2011 - 11:07 am

Already fan of Corina Nielsen on facebook and now also a fan of ProPhoto. I have been planning to start a blog and have checked out ProPhotos products several times. It is just a lot of money to spend up front. I am not even a true “professional” photographer (yet). I have a nine to five gig that pays the bills. But I eat sleep and dream photography. Every spare moment at work is spent reading and following photography blogs and forums. And at home I am taking/editing photos. I hope that by starting a blog and getting my name and images out there, I can one day turn my day dream into my day job.

Elizabeth Cook - September 28, 2011 - 11:18 am

I would love to win this! The ease, ability to custom, and tools to organize would be wonderful! Thanks for a great giveaway!

Diana S. - September 28, 2011 - 11:22 am

Winning this giveaway would really help get my photography business started! Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Christy Johnson - September 28, 2011 - 11:49 am

I am super excited about the custom fonts and the call to action buttons! I have no idea how to do any custom coding, and I’m too afraid that if I try I’ll mess up my blog. This is perfect! :)

sarah - September 28, 2011 - 1:05 pm

This would be amazing for me. I have been doing photography for about a year but has been very hesitant about starting to blog. I am intimidated! Being a DIY I am always up for the challenge, but winning ProPhoto would be huge!Crossing my fingers.

Hannah S. - September 28, 2011 - 3:58 pm

I’ve had my dinky little blog that I designed myself based off a free template for YEARS. It’s driving me nuts! I honestly think that I drag my feet when it comes to blogging because I’m honestly not a big fan of how my blog looks and the basic functionality of it. I’ve looked at ProPhoto a few times but never got around to taking the plunge. Now with the latest version, I’m so excited to give it a try. I think it’s serendipity that the day I start looking into wordpress designers, ProPhoto announced their latest version and you announced your giveaway. :)

Tara Lindley - September 28, 2011 - 6:16 pm

Corina,

Truly, this is my favorite giveaway EVER! Thank you so much for this opportunity! I am ready to take my photography to the next level and know this is the step I need to take in order to get where I want in my business. If I won this giveaway I would be like a kid at Christmas. ProPhoto4 is definitely the way to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I WANT ProPhoto4, but more importantly, I NEED IT!!

Holly Gentry-Hamrick - September 28, 2011 - 6:18 pm

I find myself doing the silliest things trying to get our blog to look how I want it to look! It would be awesome if it were easier and after seeing this post I definitely feel like I’m missing out! Great giveaway!

lauren s - September 28, 2011 - 6:53 pm

I’ve been using v3 for the last year and half and love it (so I only need the upgrade!)… all the updates they’ve made are things that I’ve really been hoping they would address! Hope I win!

Nicole Voth - September 28, 2011 - 8:36 pm

I need prophoto 4 to help me create a blog that I can be proud of with my vision, that I can update on my own! I would be so amazingly excited to win this and finally get my blog up and running!

Joy Driesenga - September 29, 2011 - 7:47 am

Hi Corina!
I would absolutely love a prophoto blog. I’ve had a wordpress blog before and have done away with it because I felt like I could never get it to look as professional as I wanted and appearance is everything. I use a flash site right now and would love to do away with it and just use a prophoto blog. I feel like making the switch would be so beneficial to my business and attract more clients. I would love to be able to blog everyones session and make it a more personal and special way for viewing. <3

Denise Eddie - September 29, 2011 - 12:38 pm

Hi Corina,
Right now I just use blogger for my blog to go along with my photography website. I have tweaked it as far as I can and it is so frustrating at times. It is more a family/ business mix than just a business blog. I don’t update as often because it is frustrating and takes forever some days just to upload a small paragraph. I would so love to win the ProPhoto Blog…I have been reading up on it and the features and ease of use have me sold!! I think the ProPhoto blog would be very beneficial and look more professional and business like to attract clients and potential clients to my photography business. Keeping business and personal separate as it should be. :) Thank you for this amazing opportunity.

Truc Nguyen - September 29, 2011 - 10:06 pm

I would love to win a copy of ProPhoto 4 because I would LOVE not having to depend on flash anymore. Flash loads so slowly, and the new ProPhoto slideshows look awesome. Your review makes me so excited about it!

Evan Kirby - September 29, 2011 - 10:08 pm

I would love to win ProPhoto 4 because I’m trying to create a new website for my design business, and ProPhoto makes it look so easy. I especially love the menu buttons feature. All of the features ProPhoto provides are exactly what I need!

Susan - October 1, 2011 - 8:53 am

oh if you plan on giving away an upgrade I would love that! It looks super easy to use!

Zoe Ferguson - October 1, 2011 - 5:07 pm

Thanks for the amazing giveaway! My branding is underway (thanks to you!!!!), and the next step is the world of blogging. I know nothing about it, and it’s time to learn! I most definitely need prophoto blog, and would absolutely love to win such an amazing giveaway! You are the best!

Noelle MacGregor - October 1, 2011 - 8:17 pm

Oh my goodness! I would love to win this! Currently my website is flash-based, which isn’t the best for web optimization, which makes my blog so much more important. It’s only so-so, if that, right now. I do not know html code and am trying to find coding online to do things all the time. This would make my life so much easier! I could spend less time messing with my blog and more time editing, shooting, and playing with my kiddos! The Prophoto Blogs I have seen are beautiful and I would love one!

Jamie Peltier - October 2, 2011 - 7:02 pm

Thank you so much for having this giveaway! I would really love to win this free blog to help the process of getting my photo business off the ground. I absolutely love all the ProPhoto blogs I’ve seen and I’ve heard great things about their blogs. One of the last things I need is a great blog. I would be so grateful to win this giveaway. It would really mean a lot to me!! Thanks so much!

Rachel Stocker - October 2, 2011 - 7:05 pm

WOW what an amazing giveaway. I have been anticipating getting my photography business up and running but am wary of all the little details of web-related work that has to be done. I am not the most computer savvy person and from what I have heard about blogs and sites, I am super hesitant that I may screw something and lose lots of money. I have had ProPhoto recommended to me many times but as a recent college graduate, have little budget to spend! I am so excited that you are giving away ProPhoto since I have heard of its amazing ease of use, its fantastic features and its customization abilities! I would absolutely love this giveaway since I am on the verge of getting my name and brand out there in the open. I am just scratching at the surface of branding and want to dive in heads first! I think this would be the first great step to getting my name out there. I am also a fan of yours and ProPhoto on Facebook!
….as another added bonus, today is my BIRTHDAY!! This would be a fantastic gift and surprise! What a great giveaway!!!

Jeannette C. - October 2, 2011 - 7:05 pm

Just starting up my business and this would be A-MA-ZING!!! It would help me streamline my website and allow me to spend time on other things. Awesome product.

Lindsi Luffman - October 2, 2011 - 7:06 pm

I’ve been so frustrated with the blog I have and not being able to customize it the way I want. So I’ve kind of given up on it. I would LOVE to win a prophoto blog and have the freedom to design it to match the rest of my branding.

Bethanie - October 2, 2011 - 7:08 pm

The hours I have wasted trying to get my blog perfect! Ahhh should have just brought ProPhoto. I have a love hate relationship with my blog and website at the moment. Anything that can save me time and give me what I want is pretty darn good in my books!

Martha Compton - October 2, 2011 - 7:19 pm

Thank you so much for this awesome giveaway!! I really struggle with blogging due to my lack of technical know-how. Anything that would make it easier to get the blog set up and looking great so I could do what I need to do and move on would be fabulous. :)

Kaley Lein - October 2, 2011 - 7:24 pm

First of all, thank you so much for such an awesome give-a-way! I have been debating on getting ProPhoto for months now and seriously considering it these past couple weeks. I definitely need it and know it will help me and my business. If I win I will be the happiest girl!

CountryMama - October 2, 2011 - 7:42 pm

Honestly I am new to photography and so lost when it comes to blogging, so I feel like this might be something i need to invest in anyway. I would be very glad and grateful to win this.

Adrienne - October 2, 2011 - 8:04 pm

Hi, Corina! I love my ProPhoto blog that you designed, and I think the update would make me love it even more. (I’m all for making things easy on myself!) Thanks for the chance to win!

Cindy Franklin - October 2, 2011 - 8:12 pm

would love to win Prophoto for my business. I love all the wonderful features this offers. I NEED a new blog soooo bad and just have been so confused at which one to choose. Corina Nielsen, thank you for being such a great inspiration and aide in growing my business and I hope to hear I won!!!!!

Charisse Rhodes - October 2, 2011 - 8:33 pm

What a great giveaway! I would love to win because I am launching my first website really soon and would LUVVV to have a professional blog to go with it. Prophoto blogs are beautiful!

I hope you pick me. Thanks again! Your blog, website and work is beautiful as well!

Jennifer Nicole - October 2, 2011 - 8:34 pm

What an awesome giveaway!! :) I would LOVE to win this to be able to customize my blog and better represent who I am. Also, to be able to easily change, since I change my mind all the time! I love the flexibilty they seem to have. I’d also like potential clients to view a put together, well organized, modern looking blog. Thank you for the opportunity!

Michelle wells - October 2, 2011 - 9:20 pm

As a newbie to photography i would love to be able to promote a business with my photos that i put so much effort into on a blog page :-) BUT not just any blog page, i only want the best and that can only come from PROPHOTO of course. Oh and also cause i have no idea how to create one either!! Being a learner driver of my camera, i need all the help i can muster!! Thank you from australia, the land of beautiful scenery, red dirt and oh yeh, the desperately in need of PROPHOTO ME!!

Jessica Schaefer - October 2, 2011 - 10:03 pm

I’m still finishing my new website, and boy, does it take me forever as a stay at home still-nursing momma… there are not enough hours in a day. I’m desperately in need of PROPHOTO if I’m to get a blog done too! Thanks for all your support for fellow photos!

Cheron Johnson - October 2, 2011 - 11:04 pm

What an awesome giveaway! I have been eyeing ProPhoto Blogs for months but just have not had the means to purchase one. I am a newbie starting out and trying to build my business. I want to start a blogsite, but I also want to do it right! I know looking at all the photography pages I come across I am most impressed by the ones done by ProPhoto blogs! I want to be able to present myself and my work in the same professional manner. Thank you for hosting this giveaway and good luck to all who have entered!

CariAnne - October 3, 2011 - 6:54 am

4 reasons for ProPhoto 4
1) Thank you Corina. Grateful.
2) I need a Blog. I don’t have one.. Yet.
3) My 3 little ones have me running circles around my computer, so as my creative energies are gazing longingly at the screen on lap 3, they would feel even more eager to get spinning knowing the powerful ProPhoto awaits.
4) I want my readers’ and clients’ emotions to stir a bit when they see my work. And I think the ProPhoto blogs showcase that exactly!

Danielle - October 3, 2011 - 7:57 am

What a great giveaway! I am new to photography and have yet to venture into the world of blogs. This would make this much easier. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

Deidre - October 3, 2011 - 9:42 am

I like both of you on facebook! I am currently using a blogger blog, and I have been drooling over a ProPhoto blog for a long time! I really feel like I need an upgrade to be competitive with the other photographers in my area!! Thanks so much for the amazing giveaway!

Elli - October 3, 2011 - 11:20 am

Wow. What a great giveaway. I have a Prophoto 3 blog but have had trouble getting my brand truly represented – in addition, I’ve just rebranded my business; what perfect timing to launch my new brand with ease. Prophoto 4 sounds like just what I need! Thanks for the opportunity. I hope to be considered for this great giveaway.

Ashley - October 3, 2011 - 2:33 pm

I would love to have the prophoto blog theme because for the past 4 months Ive been trying to create and recreate my site to match my brand and its been a fail. Ive neglected my bf, I’ve neglected my life between client editing and trying to fix my site. Just when things were looking good, my website got hacked and i lost everything so Ive been starting over and its been a pain. I learned the hard way about website firewall but a bit late. Not to mention I broke my camera and just spent over $2,000 replacing it so I just cant afford it right now. Anyways Im just trying to build my site right and right now, im two steps from pulling my hair out. Sigh.

Shauna - October 3, 2011 - 2:48 pm

Winning this would be amazing! I have put blood sweat and tears into becoming a photographer. I have invested every last dime into making this happen, and honestly cannot afford ProPhoto right now. It is definitely on my list but unfortunately I just cannot do it. Winning this would help take my business to the level it needs to be. I currently do not have a large web presence and today’s market demands one. Thank you for the opportunity, and I have my fingers crossed :) .

Marie - October 3, 2011 - 8:20 pm

Wining this would be so awesome!!!! I would love to have a blog to showcase my work. Working on the Facebook platform, just isn’t enough! Today’s media savvy clients “Demand” it!!! I need this ;)

Ashley - October 3, 2011 - 8:21 pm

I would be overjoyed to win this amazing give away!! I have had my eye on a pro photo blog for several months…after seeing a post you did on your blog about them a few months back. This would be the perfect excuse for me to be able to re-launch a GREAT blog and to get rid of the outdated & embarrassing one I currently have. :0)
I already liked you on Facebook, but I am now an official “liker” of Pro Photo on Facebook as well. Thanks so much for the amazing giveaway, hoping it’s the first thing I win (since I enter these giveaways tediously and never win LOL)!

Claudia Wiedenmann - October 3, 2011 - 9:13 pm

Oh I LOVE Prophoto blog! The organization is amazing and the clean crisps look. I just started blogging and I love showcasing my recent work on a blog! I would be head over heels If I won! How awesome to have this giveaway! Huge thanks! I have like you already on FB and now a new fan of Prophoto blog on FB! Cross my fingers, toes, and legs I win! :D

susan byrd - October 4, 2011 - 9:11 am

love this giveaway! I am in desperate need of a new setup, so I am hoping to win. This will definitely help streamline my online prescience and eliminate headache. Thanks!

Crystal Nickel - October 4, 2011 - 11:44 am

I am just starting to really kick my photography to a new level. Still working on equipment, but figured I should probably get the branding completely together and this would be great!

Tina Kelly-Nerelli - October 4, 2011 - 11:52 am

I would love to have prophoto blog to help me with my blog. I am considering a new look soon and this is just what I need!!!!!

{Baby Ben}- San Diego Newborn Photographer

Such a special session for me since Baby Ben happens to belong to one of my very bestest friends and perhaps one of the sweetest people I know.   I had been looking forward to this baby for quite some time!  However, Ben didn’t have the same feeling about me!  Luckily, I won in the end and was able to get some sweet shots of him!

He is such an adorable little bundle!  It’s also nice being able to have some girly chit chat time while working, that’s always a perk!  I’m very thankful to have Kim in my life and can’t wait to see Ben grow up!

New Products & my first exclusive FREE download!!!

What a whirlwind the last 6 months have been!  I finally stole a few moments to create some new products for the store!  Very excited to have both a pre made business set & a coordinating blog available!  Instant branding… gotta love it!

Forget Me Not Pre Made Business Set

Business Set Includes: business card, CD single case & custom DVD-CD (Millers/MPIX), packaging stickers (Millers/MPIX), 4×5.5 gift certificate, 2×7 folded appointment card, 5×5 welcome trifold, 5×5 ornate thank you card.  Files come as fully layered rasterized PSD’s so you can change/edit text, add images to built in clipping paths, add your logo & business info., etc.  All items use WHCC specs EXCEPT the custom DVD-CD and packaging stickers.

Forget Me Not Pre Made Blog

Pre Made blog includes: background image (1600×1600), header, post divider, date background, call to action buttons, and 5 different photo rotator templates.  Blog is specifically made for ProPhoto blogs and installation services are also available.

The “Forget Me Not” business set and pre made blog can both be purchased in the store this week only and are on sale for 25% off!

I’m also VERY excited to announce my first official “Facebook Exclusive Download”!!!  Earlier this year I had intended on having a new free download available each month, but unfortunately I never got around to it with my branding schedule so full.  Now that the kids are back in school AND I have spaced my Fall clients out a bit more, I will have lots of time for the “fun stuff”!  With holiday season right around the corner, I knew that a sweet little calendar template would be the perfect item to release first!  Take a look…

I even squeezed in some time to have my own studio sample printed with the lab.  Although these templates are sized at 5×7 (with a bleed) and can be printed as single prints OR a proof book, I was SO happy with my last spiral bound calendar from Color Inc. that I decided I HAD to have this printed there also!  For those not familiar with this product, here is some information about it right from Color Inc.:

Spiral Bound Photo Books
Spiral Bound Photo Books are a stylish and professional way to present and organize your images. These books are created using our single-sided Standard Professional Paper bound with a black metal binding along with custom front and optional back cover images mounted on white styrene for the durable protection of your prints. If an optional back cover is not selected, a black card stock backing will be applied at no additional charge. Spiral Bound Photo Books can not contain more than 70 pages, excluding the front and back covers.

  • Add rounded corners for free!
  • Select the “Remove Backprint” option in ROES to receive pages without file names or order information printed on the back for an additional $2.99.
  • Black Easel Back options are also available on back covers for an additional $1.99.

(excuse the VERY quick, last minute pictures… sample is still cute though!)

For those that may not want to have it stand upright, I thought it would be cute to add some ribbon to it!  Since the album was purposely made very simple & clean to blend in with everyones branding, this is where you can get creative and tie in to your OWN look and style.  Add the ribbon, use your cute packaging, put your sticker on the back… lots of room to present your clients with an adorable gift!  Templates come in rasterized layered files so you can also add your own text/font you currently use in your branding.  Since I specialize in newborn photography, I also added a little quote: “Every new born baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on”  Love how it turned out….

I decided this time to try a little bit of texture on the album, so went with a linen finish….. can’t tell from the photo, but I *heart* it!  Will definitely do this again!

So how do you get this sweet little free calendar I made up just for you?  That’s SUPER easy:) Just head on over to my Facebook business page HERE and unlock the “exclusive download”!  As a VERY special bonus, Color Inc. has also agreed to offer my readers a 10% OFF coupon to have their calendars printed!  Once you have downloaded your calendar, added your images, text, and date, and are ready to send it off to be printed, go to Color Inc. ROES system and at checkout use coupon code:

Corina0911

I really hope everyone takes advantage of the special savings the lab has offered and you won’t be disappointed in the quality or product!

ENJOY and have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Where can we find this now? Can I purchase it from you? :) So beautiful!

Julie Ball - September 3, 2012 - 5:31 pm

I no longer see your calendar template. Do you know where I can find it now? It looks adorable!

{Veronica & Co.}- Carlsbad Maternity Photographer

I love it when I get to turn my maternity sessions into full family sessions! It’s such a nice time to capture the family before the new baby comes and the whole dynamic changes in an instant!  I was especially looking forward to this session though because Veronica’s boys are so stinkin’ adorable!!!  I can’t remember a time when I was finished with a session and felt so utterly worn out!  I never knew chasing 2 boys around could be so much fun though.  Tiresome, but fun!  Amazing how much energy these guys had and apparently mom and dad were used to it since I was the only one winded 15 minutes into playing…. luckily everyone was in good spirits and so full of life!   Look at these boys….

I always think its hilarious when you try and get a kid to smile and they aren’t quite sure how… I cracked up every single time during this session!

But they were both too adorable for words.  Such good brothers!  It was nice to see mom and dad take a little break and just watch the kids do their thing…

And HELLO gorgeous!  Can you believe how good momma looked?

Such a sweet, beautiful family!
