Go Corina, Go Corina….

it’s my birthday!!!!  WOW… 29 years OLD!  30 is like 365 days away!  YIKES!  Can you believe that I really have never done anything on any of my bdays?  I actually was never really interested in doing much, BUT I did tell Joe that for my big "3-0" I wanted a surprise party… let’s see if he can pull that off!  As for today, I have nothing planed… Joe has to work unfortunately, so it will be just like any other day, except I may get a call here or there.  Yesterday I was having a REALLY hard time dealing with it because I realized that it was the first bday EVER that I didn’t spend with my dad…. that has definately been tough.  Hopefully it won’t rain tomorrow and I wanted to take a trip to the cemetary where his ashes are buried….

On a brighter note though…. I think I may have lost my cell phone.  I had it this morning when I charged it, then it was gone when I left to Target.  After I turned the house upside down looking for it, I realized that my sweety may have stolen it to buy me a new phone (alright, so I am reaching here and am doing a lot of wishful thinking).  I have had my eye on this gadget since before Xmas:

It’s a TREO 700P and it kicks ass!  Sorry for the fuzzy pic, I’m too lazy to resize right now!  This thing has everything!!!!  The main reason I wanted it back then was because it has MS Outlook and I could be riddled with site emails while I was away from the house.  I liked being able to handle the CS for the store while I was out and about, BUT then I realized it wasn’t such a good idea because I’d be stuck to the store literally all day.  Not to mention the fact that it’s like a $500 phone… I’d much rather spend that money on landscaping our ghetto front yard.  Anywho, we’ll see if Joe comes through or not.

I also have a few sneak peeks into next Monday’s new product release… just a couple of things that will go up with a few others….

New Product Monday!!!

Actually, before I get to the new stuff’s, I scrapped again!!!  I feel so proud:)  Lots of bits and pieces of all my crap!!!  I think I have to use this thing again!  It’s amazing how many things you can stick on this thing!!!

Enough about scrapping though…. I just wanted to give a brief movie review…. I had a VERY hard weekend emotionally… slowly getting over it now, but it was tough.  Besides the everyday drama of life (as if that weren’t bad enough), Joe’s Grandma’s funeral was yesterday.  We tried ot keep as busy as we could so it woudn’t be as hard, but it always stays in the back of your mind kwim?  When Joe’s mom came to see the baby in the afternoon, we thought we’d take the opportunity to watch a movie.  So we saw:

The movie was amazing, lots of fighting though which I’m not fond of, but overall the movie was certainly one that we will buy when it comes out.  Check out the shots they had in this thing…. unreal I tell you… I’m a total idiot, but is it called the "cinematography"?  These still’s do absolutely NO JUSTICE to the film…

Pigs Must Be Flyin’

… because I actually SCRAPPED!  Wohoo!!!!  I don’t find much time to scrap anymore since most of my time on the computer is spent "designing" and checking customer service emails, but at some point of the morning today, I had an idea for an element that could be used for Easter layouts, namely Easter Egg HUNTING layouts.  So I grabbed my camera and shot a few pics of my backyard so I could extract the grass.  I put it on a 12×12 just to see how it would look and ended up with a whole layout:)  AND the best part is I got to finally use Nancy’s Clutter Frames AND I ADORE them, actually makes me wanna scrap again with em’!!!!  Here is the layout:

I thought that people could "hide" their eggs in the grass?  Sometimes when I come up with ideas I think I’m high on something…. but that unfortunately ain’t the case!!! Anyways, I like the way the layout came out, so I guess the time I spent on it was worth it regardless right?

First things first…..

I am running a special promotion at the store for the month of March.  It was a totaly fluke thing… I went to play around over the weekend while the baby was napping and ended up with a cute little mini kit:

I have a bunch of new stuff up in the shop today!!!!  The main thing is a new boy collection I whipped up.  I actually finished most of it a few weeks ago, but didn’t wanna flood our store last week!  It’s a collection of 5 paper packs and 1 big element pack…. all boy, baby!!!!  It’s got a little bit of everything…. grunge, funky, cool… I adore how it turned out, espcially "acidic" and "skaterish"!!!

It’s Over…..

sigh.  I am so sad that the wedding is actually over and done with.  I felt like it was far too short:(  Everything was just beautiful and there isn’t much I would have changed…. such an amazing day for Joe and I and our families!!!  Everything that I imagined for the day, from the flowers, to the favors I made, to all the other little details… everything actually went above and beyond my expectations!  I feel lucky and so blessed!  I wish I had my own pictures to show, but alas, I was so busy before and during that I got like 2 shots and that was it!!!!  BUT you can go visit my super duper photgrapher’s blog to see a few…

If you do get a chance to visit her over there, make sure that you let her know what you think…. she’s FAB and she should hear it lol!!!!

And if that isn’t enough fabulousness…. we had a second photgrapher there with Jessica who is equally amazing at capturing the many moments I will always remember… you can see Marisa’s photos here on her bloggy. 

I also wanted to announce the winner of my "altered can" contest!  Here are a few pictures of what it looked like (I only got to take these today, so all the flowers around it are dead, but you get the idea…. they look amazing saturday anyways lol):

The winning suggestion came from one of my very own CT peeps… Emily Powers!!!!  Not only an amazing photographer and scrapper, but she’s great for suggesting stuff too!!!  Each contest I have run on here… her’s are always at the top of my list!  Again, all of the things people suggested were great and I almost wish I had done more of them, but I barely had time to alter this tin:)  I’m glad that everyone loved the idea and some of you were even going to do something like this for your own parties…. glad I enabled ya!!!!  As for Emily, since she gets everything of mine anyways, I’m going ot have to repay her somehow!  Gimme a few days to think of something girly!

And last but definately NOT least… did everyone get a chance to see all of the new hotties at the playground?  OMG!  I have never seen my inbox so full!  The past 2 days have been such a HUGE success for the store and all of our designers.  I was pretty hesitant to bring anyone on, but am completely thankful that Traci and I did.  What’s even better is that EVERYONE is doing well, like really well!!!!  Congrats to Vera Lim, Anne Dejong, Marcie Reckinger, Christina Renee, Lauren Reid, and Lauren Barden… who actually gets even more KUDOS because she did the whole revamp for us and did an amazing job!
