Last month, Blake and I took a trip to Hawaii It was technically supposed to be all 4 of us, but Joe couldn’t get the time off of work at the last minute, so I didn’t want Blake to miss out on being with the rest of the family, and it ended up just being him and I unfortunately. It was sooooo hard being away from Joe and the baby. I am guaranteed to NEVER do that again! The whole time I was just sad because they weren’t there! I tried to make the most of it, but certainly could NOT wait to get home! I did manage to get a few pics though:

Those are pretty much the highlights of the week lol! To tell you the truth, most mornings and all of the nights, I was in the hotel room WORKING!!!! Right before we left for the trip, literally 2 days before I think, I received a HUGE offer to work on a very special project When I actually got the offer, I was completely in tears and sooooo excited! Scared and overwhelmed for sure, but so ready for this!
Looks like yours truly has landed a paper deal I’m not going to go into specifics at the moment, but this is a very big deal to me and feel so honored and proud to have been asked to do this. The majority of my time on that trip and ever since I have been back, has been spent working for this company! Hopefully soon I will be able to share the details… I still feel like it isn’t happening lol! I’m just waiting for the rug to get pulled out from under me! But hopefully all things will go well!!!! I have felt completely terrible that I have done very little work at the store, but I think I’m over the hard part and can finally get some other stuff done! It was hard inititially to balance everything because ALL of my time was spent working on the project/s, but now things have settled down and I can get back into a routine… hopefully anyways!!!
On a yucky note for the month… Joe was injured at work When I got the call, of course your mind races since he is a police officer right? But fortunately, in the grand scheme of cop stuff, this is nothing lol! While on a foot pursuit, he ended up running out of his car (probably before it was even stopped) and twisted his ankle, BAD! At first we thought it was broken for sure. When he came home from the doctors, it was already completely black and blue and SWOLLEN! The doctor took xrays and didn’t find any breaks, but we had to go back a few days after that to have it rechecked. OMG, he was in soooo much pain and all that doc gave him was Tylenol… wth? We went back and he was told that he probably had a torn ligament so an MRI was ordered…. of course as it turns out he has 2 completely torn and detached ligaments bleh! Best case scenario is that he is out for 8-12 weeks and at that time they will determine whether or not he has to have surgery to correct it. Apparently, ligament tears are much worse than breaks, more painful, worse recovery, etc. So needless to say it has NOT been fun in our household lol! Between the kids, him, the store, AND the new paper stuff I’m doing…. I have been so stressed out and on the edge lol! He should be home at least until next Monday, so we will see what the doc says then about it. Joe is NOT one to take any meds, even Tylenol for a headache, so when he is ASKING me for the pain medication, I know he is just about dying from the pain… poor guy I’d post the pics I took of his ankle, but I promised I wouldn’t lol!
OK, what next? Oh, I did manage to get a new product in the store this week
And here are some layouts with it:
Aren’t they purty? I have a whole new kit coming next week… here is a preview for ya:
OK gals, time to get out of pajama’s and start my day! Hopefully I will be back again soon and NOT after a whole month…. BUT I make no guarantees lol!!!
