• Hello & Welcome!

    My name is Corina Nielsen and I am so happy you stopped by. I provide custom photography services in San Diego, Ca., mainly specializing in newborn portraiture and I also run a separate graphic design business helping photographers define their business identity. You can see samples of all my work right here on my blog... both of my photography and design portfolio's are located right in the above menu! Please take a look and if you are interested in either booking a session or getting on my design wait list, you can use the contact form to get in touch! I look forward to talking with you soon!

And the winner is…

"stayawake" and her "opposites attract" suggestion… BUT I did pick some runner ups who will also be receiving the papers for free…. I will be emailing you links shortly!!!

* Valerie- "sexy chic"

* Jen- "color blind"

* Caryl- "start anew"

* Doreen- " classilicious"

You all have absolutely NO idea how hard that was to pick!  Every time someone posted their suggestions, I was like "OMG… that is so fabulous!"  I originally planned on picking yesterday, but was so torn, I procrastinated until now!  Almost makes me want to do a bunch of papers/kits using them…. BUT I have a wedding to get ready for lol!  Thanks so much for playing along with me.  I am sure that there will be more to come since I am so terrible at naming my own stuff!

Anywho, in other news…. 1 more week until the FPD relaunch!!!!  I WISH I could tell everyone who the newbies are, but I am sworn to secrecy and Traci will prolly kick my arse!  The girls have some amazing stuff in store for everyone.  We are very excited about our grand reopening!  Oh, did you all see this thread at DST:

Sport A Blinkie

IF ya want to, go ahead and play along with us… isn’t that the cutest idea?  Way to go T!!!!

Can I just tell you how pressed for time I am?  The wedding is in less than 5 days and I have about a zillion things to do!  YIKES!  On that note, I better get back to my favors for the big day!  UGH… Ever since Joe told me that he wanted the big, "formal" wedding for the family, I have not looked at 1 bridal magazine, did no research on any of the vendors we booked (yeah I know… not good right… I’m crazy right)… nor have I looked in any bridal magazines for cute ideas UNTIL last week!  I found some of the cutest little touches to make our day super duper special… I cannot wait to take pictures and show them off!  Not to mention how insanely anxious I am for the FAB and insanely talented Jessica Claire to snap our pics!  I am still in shock and won’t even believe it until I see her!

Alrighty, I have schtuff to do so thanks again for all the FAB suggestions…. I read each and every single one and LOVED all of them!  Until laters!

Carin - February 27, 2007 - 3:50 am

Great name for these awesome papers and what a lovely new play, thanks so much!

MishSpar - February 27, 2007 - 6:47 am

Perfect choice for the kit name! Awesome! Can’t wait to pick it up.
Bridal magazines…I remember how satisfying it was to take my piles and piles and piles of bridal magazines and throw them out on the curb on recycling day the week after my wedding. It brought back a pretty decent amount of square footage in my living room!!!
Good luck on getting your “schtuff” done!

KellieP - February 27, 2007 - 7:08 am

I just made my way here thru Jessica’s Blog
Wow, she captured your special day so well, she’s got a knack for something good! You both were just beautiful, looks like you had a wonderful day! I love your work also, I will have to go shopping! I just wanted to say hello.

My Brand New Blog and a Little Contest

Did I really customize this thing on my own?  Holy Crap… I think I did!  I remember like 6 months ago, I did the trial on Typepad and after about 5 minutes, I totally gave up and cancelled my subscription.  Anywho, looks like this will be easy enough to maintain for a completely HTML illiterate gal such as myself.  I should have known it was easy enough since my very good gal pal Gina Miller maintains her blog regularly ( and quite well if I do say so myself )…. when we first opened the playground, I remember she kept telling me how "unsavvy" she was and she would be no help to Traci and I as far as site maintenance and HTML stuff… guess her and I aren’t as bad as I thought before tonight:)

Anywho, enough about blogs, let me get down to business!!!  So, lots of people don’t know this yet, but the shop is going to have a big grand "reopening" very soon… we are looking at finishing up the revamp on March 5th.  We have brought on 6 new designers…. an AMAZING 6 designers.  These gals are so FAB, I can’t even believe they will be selling with T and I.  I have been workin’ hard to get new stuff in the store… this is one of them:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was going for a very fresh and funky kinda paper pack, but didn’t want to deal with "color", so I went bold and stuck with the good ole basics.  Only problem, I was completely STUCK for a name!  So, that’s where the contest comes in….. help me name them!  You have until this Saturday, February 24th to leave a name for me…. and the winner will receive the papers before they hit the store at our re-launch!  Sounds easy enough huh???  The last time I ran one of these "name me" thingies.. I ended up with so many great names!

And last, but not least, in case you missed the freebie I gave out today at DST , here is a link to grab this little thing I whipped up earlier this morning… this is a reloaded link and it’s all ready to go… although, I did realize that I left a staple off of the photocorner thing and it looks much better with one lol!  Here is the preview:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And here is a link for you to grab them:
