I think a lot of women (people in general for that matter) are victims of lifelong “diets”, constantly playing the yo-yo game with their weight, mental state, and overall health and metabolism.  After 35 years of not truly taking care of myself and my body, I made the decision to 100% commit to a healthy & balanced lifestyle that includes weight training and feeding my body properly for MY goals.  As I continue on this fitness journey, my thoughts, beliefs, and ideas regarding food & my lifestyle have changed (numerous times already and will more than likely change again).  I believe that it’s a natural part of everyone’s process and in the end you have to do what is right for you, your family, your lifestyle, and most importantly… YOUR over all mental well being.  Find a lifestyle that will work for you long term, a way of life that will be sustainable for many years to come.  I did NOT choose a short term fad “diet” to yield immediate results just to eventually end up where I started.  In many cases, these “diets” including low carb/no carb will end up hurting you in the long run.  I changed my entire lifestyle and thinking to ensure I would continue to get better, get stronger, look better, and most importantly feel better 1,5, and 10 years down the road.  I made the changes in the most healthy way possible… it may give me slow progress BUT it’s the long term progression I can be guaranteed for the rest of my life.

Things I believe in the most:

I believe in doing things that make you happy.

I believe in being committed and always giving your 100% to everything you do.

I believe in lifting heavy weights.

I believe cardio should be a supplement your training NOT be the focus of it.

I believe muscles are sexy and make a woman truly look fit and healthy.

I believe most women severely under eat and find themselves in constant plateaus struggling to lose weight.

I believe in having a healthy relationship with food and not fearing ANYTHING you eat.

I believe in eating carbs.

I believe science & health should go hand in hand together.

I believe in listening to your body.

I believe in setting realistic goals for yourself.

I believe in progress, however little or slow it may be.

I believe in being open to changing your thoughts and methods along your journey.

I believe in being helpful.

I believe in me.

And I believe in you.
