|  | Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. |

|  | Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl or stand mixer.  Mix on high until light and fluffy.  Add egg.  Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture in small batches until dough forms. |

|  | Divide dough into four portions; pat each into a 3/4-in.-thick circle. Place 2 in. apart on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes or until golden brown. |

|  | Bake for 16-18 minutes until pale golden brown in color. |
