I honestly don’t think this recipe needs an elaborate introduction or back story… they kind of speak for themselves. Also not really sure how anyone could resist any food that contains the words “chocolate” “strawberry” AND “donuts”?

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Donuts

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut flour
- 1 scoop Chocolate Truffle Trutein Protein
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder (I used Hershey's dark)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Chocolate MuscleEgg egg whites
- 40 drops Double Chocolate Sweet Leaf Stevia Drops
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil (** TOPPING **)
- 1 tablespoon Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips (** TOPPING **)
- 3-4 Medium strawberries (chopped) (** TOPPING **)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a donut pan with non stick spray. | |
Step 2 | |
Combine all ingredients (except coconut oil, chocolate chips, and strawberries) in a medium sized bowl. Mix until well incorporated and batter is smooth. | |
Step 3 | |
Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes and sides have pulled away from the edges. | |
Step 4 | |
Prepare topping by melting coconut oil and chocolate chips in the microwave. Melt in 15-20 second increments and stir until smooth. | |
Step 5 | |
Drizzle chocolate over donuts and add chopped strawberries. |
