I would have never in a million years thought that at any point in my life, I would have love affair with all things fitness & health related. Within 4 months, as I began to post about my new journey and food on my Instagram account, followers were finding me all over the place and at a steadily growing pace. I began to see my food and progress pictures being posted on Pinterest and was constantly told I should start a blog/site to not only document it all but more importantly to share everything I have made and learned along the way! I also began to get more and more questions every day and although I think I did a pretty good job of making sure I helped anywhere I could, it has been difficult to keep up. Often time’s I don’t even see the notifications and emails I receive and hate to think that anyone is under the impression I am ignoring them. So… I decided it was time to buckle down, get organized and start this blog as a new hobby (because I don’t have anything else better to do with my life right?). I have told my husband for YEARS that I have always LOVED food photography and I have envied various food bloggers for as long as I can remember… what better time for me to start my own right?
You will find most of the answers to common questions I get most often already posted here on the blog (please see the main menu above), but in the coming days, weeks, and months I plan to add a lot more information and more importantly PRINTABLE RECIPES with ingredients, instructions, macro and nutritional information included as well!!! In the post following this one (below), you will see some of the upcoming recipes I have in store. It has been SO hard not sharing them as I was eating them, but I knew the wait would be worth it! I finally have a place of my very own where I can share my love of food, health, photography, writing, and my fitness journey. I am so excited to share it all with you. Many have asked for an e-book which is an idea I have toyed with but in the end, since this is a hobby for me, I rather make everything available & accessible to EVERYONE for FREE! At this point in time, there is no e-book in the works…. this blog is 100% simply built with the intention of sharing as much as I can about whatever I have learned and eaten!
Please note that I am NOT a trainer, licensed in nutritional sciences, nor do I have plans to do get certified in anything. I am a 35 year old wife and mother who committed herself to getting stronger and better as each day passes. I simply just want to share everything I have done and learned along the way. I have never hired a trainer. I have come up with my own workouts. I trained for the first 14-15 weeks at HOME and then bought a gym membership. I continue to figure out what works for me, my body, and my goals. I have learned everything on my own simply because I had a desire and passion to do it. This blog should only be used as reference, possible inspiration, and maybe even a push for you to begin your own journey. Again, I am no expert in anything and I don’t pretend to have all of the answers. I do NOT feel comfortable giving advice on your nutrition, your macronutrient calculations, or your training regimen BUT I will let you know what I have done, what has worked for ME, and what has not worked for ME!
